Hard work pays off and dreams can come true. My commitment to the European project is and will be tireless. I’m so thankful for all of my supporters, my committed team, and for the voters for believing in me. Now the work begins.
In the new term, my main priority is to focus on Europe’s competitiveness, building a stronger and more resilient economy, and finally creating a real European single market.
In my opinion, the way to get there is by:
👉 Stopping overregulation by cutting red tape, increasing private investments, finally building a working Capital Markets Union and supporting, encouraging, and attracting the free movement of workers and talent, including from outside the EU
👉 Fighting the climate crisis, securing financing for our social welfare states and building a more resilient and stronger EU
👉 Promoting market freedom, an ambitious green deal that works for everyone and having an ambitious trade policy
👉 Supporting the increase of the EU budget’s own resources through pollution taxes, a carbon border tax, digital taxation, and emissions trading.
